Travel Purpose: leisure

Positive: The accommodation was exactly as shown in the photos, including the amenities, and most importantly, everything was fully functional. A big plus was having a washing machine, a dryer, and a dishwasher, which made our stay very comfortable. Communication with the owner was smooth. We mentioned a couple of minor things—the knives weren't very sharp and we asked if a small axe was available for the grill wood (though we could have managed without it). The owner went above and beyond, bringing us brand-new knives and even an electric cutter, which was a huge plus! We were also welcomed with a gift basket full of local Madeiran products—a very lovely touch. The apartment features a grill and the top floor offers a beautiful view of the city. The location is also good, though be prepared for a short uphill walk to the main road every morning. There’s also a viewpoint overlook at large part of Funchal just a short walk away.

Negative: The only minor issue we encountered was with one room adjacent to the outer wall. It got a bit chilly during a few rainy evenings as the hallway air conditioning couldn't quite heat the whole space. However, extra blankets were provided, so it wasn't a major problem.
